The Investors
At our cap intro events in 2009-2011, over 60% of the investors attending were single or multi-family offices, and these had an average AUM of $1.8bn and $0.9bn respectively. About 15% of investors were larger pension funds and wealth managers with average AUM (in alternatives) of $19bn and $10bn respectively.
67% of the investors were based in the New York City area, 23% in rest of the US, and 10% internationally.
The Managers
Participating managers will be successful, mid-sized alternative funds in the Credit and Fixed Income fields, selected specifically for their appeal to sophisticated investors.
Funds will include relative value strategies, RMBS, corporate credit, sovereign debt, distressed debt, event driven, and convertible arb. funds.
