The Investors
At our cap intro events in 2009-2011, over 60% of the investors attending were single or multi-family offices, and these had an average AUM of $1.8bn and $0.9bn respectively. About 15% of investors were larger pension funds and wealth managers with average AUM (in alternatives) of $19bn and $10bn respectively.
67% of the investors were based in the New York City area, 23% in rest of the US, and 10% internationally.
The Managers
Participating managers will be successful, mid-sized alternative funds in the emerging markets and macro fields, selected specifically for their appeal to sophisticated investors.
Emerging markets funds include debt/equity/PE strategies focusing on Emerging Asia, MENA, Russia/CIS, Brazil/South America, etc, as well as Global, Frontier and Multi-strategy.
Macro funds include macro and global macro funds.
