The annual Asset Allocation Forum in Alternatives 2010 will gather key industry leaders from the alternative investment community in a business oriented asset allocation, investment management and current sector opportunity event.
THE TOPICS |
The purpose will be to explore, discuss and investigate the most pressing critical investment issues for alternative asset managers and their investors. Topics will include asset liability management for different kinds of institutional investors and how alternative assets can assist in optimizing it, alternative investing in the asset allocation mix, different approaches to portfolio construction, and quantitative vs. qualitative factors in investors' manager selection processes.
The investor panels will give updates on the state of capital raising and what changes to expect in 2011 for investment terms.
THE SECTORS |
The forum will showcase current sector opportunities, including, Emerging Markets, Energy/Commodities, Credit/Distressed Debt, Value/Equity strategies, Convertible Arbitrage, Event driven, Quantitative and Macro strategies.
THE AUDIENCE AND VENUE |
The forum is especially centered on growing and mid-sized managers and provides an excellent platform to gain direct exposure to a wide plethora of active investors and to network with industry participants.
As our previous investor forums, this one-day event is mid-sized, fast-paced and held at the Harvard Club in New York to promote an intimate, easy-to-network environment while keeping prices to attend attractive. Over 130 participants are expected with an investor-manager firm ratio close to 1:1.
